Welcome to our review of SportsBetting.ag – one of the more unique US-facing gambling sites. And that’s for a couple of reasons:
They have lots of betting options and promotions, too. Some are topnotch, while others could use a little tweaking. We’ll cover all that more in a minute.
Before we get to that, though, SportsBetting.ag doesn’t have a spotless record. Many gambling sites don’t – especially those licensed and regulated outside the US.
But for the sake of transparency, we think it’s important you have an idea of what happened, when and where you can go to learn more. That way, by the time you reach the end of our review, you can make an educated decision as to whether or not SportsBetting.ag is a good fit for you.
Maybe you already know this, but SportsBetting.ag was acquired by BetOnline back in 2012. Because before that, Sportsbetting.ag struggled to pay their debts. In fact, they racked up $1.5 million in debt before BetOnline came along on their white stallion – and paid all the debts in full.
That’s really the only issue directly related to SportsBetting.ag. The other issues come from BetOnline.
BetOnline has a few skid marks on their resume. For example:
Do a little Googling (for BetOnline scams) and you’re sure to find plenty of blog posts and forums filled to the brink with complaints, reports and so on.
Here, I’ll save you a few minutes. . You’ll find more about some of the issues they have had in the past.
However, one thing you’ll notice is that most, if not all of what’s in Google is old news. Most everything I see on the first page for ‘BetOnline scam’ is from 2011-2012. And the stuff I’m seeing from 2015 BetOnline has taken care of.
We take this – along with our other research – to mean that BetOnline, and consequently SportsBetting.ag, has cleaned up their act in recent years.
This doesn’t mean that they’re perfect, or a good fit for everyone. You’ll see that’s clearly not the case when you read the rest of our review.
But gambling sites who fall behind on payments, or screw up royally elsewhere, rarely come back from it. Since BetOnline (and SportsBetting.ag) did, we think it’s fair to give them the benefit of the doubt – at least until you finish reading our review below.
Here are the deposit options you can use to fund your account (with min/max limits):
I noticed a couple changes since the last time I reviewed them.
For example, they’ve changed a few of their (max) limits – they’ve lowered them. SportsBetting.ag has also dropped Discover, Diners Club Intl. and JCB. But they’ve added litecoin, a cryptocurrency like bitcoin, but with much higher limits.
These are the options you can use to cash out (with min/max limits/fees/time frame):
Again, litecoin is a new option. Other than that, not much has changed for cash outs.
They continue to charge fees for cryptocurrency payments, which sucks. But considering how fast these payments processes – and how now you have two different options – you might think it’s worth it.
Not only that, but SportsBetting.ag gives you a $50 discount every 30 days on the cash out option of your choice. But you have to request your cash out on a Friday to be eligible.
Note: SportsBetting.ag also has a $125,000 per week cash out limit (on winnings). This doesn’t count certain parlay or teaser plays, or progressive jackpots. This is also much higher than I recall seeing from other (US) gambling sites.
That’s about it. I haven’t heard of any (recent) problems about players being paid. So, good news there — and yet another reason to overlook their fees.
And if you have any questions about their banking options, fees or anything else to do with their site, you can contact their customer support using the following methods:
Here’s a list of all the core promotions at SportsBetting.ag. But keep in mind these do change along with each (sport) season. So, it’s a good idea to be connected to SportsBetting.ag in some other way, either through social media or maybe their email newsletter.
This is a 50% match bonus on your first deposit up to $1,000. This is a free play bet with a 12x rollover. You can only use it in the sportsbook, and once you claim it you won’t be able to request a cash out for 30 days.
Whenever you’re running on empty you can use their code, FORLIFE, and get a 25% match sportsbook bonus on any deposit of $50 to $4,000. This has a 6x rollover.
Make your first live bet. If your first bet loses, Sportsbetting.ag will reimburse you up to $25. There’s a 6x rollover.
Get 10-cent NHL lines.
Make your first mobile sports bet, and if you lose, SportsBetting.ag will reimburse you up to $50. This has a 6x rollover.
They’re offering dime lines up to -194 – the entire MLB season, all the way through to the end of the World Series.
Make your first bet in their racebook. If your bet loses, Sportsbetting.ag will reimburse you up to $25. This has a 6x rollover.
Make bets online and receive a 7% rebate. Make it over the phone and receive a 4% rebate. There’s no cap or minimum volume of bets you need to make.
Make a $100 (or more) deposit and get a 100% match bonus. The max bonus you can receive is $1,000. This has a 50x rollover on the deposit and bonus. If you took full advantage of this offer, that would mean you’d need to wager $100,000. This is high – so, I’d recommend passing on this offer, or maybe not taking full advantage of it.
Make your first bet in their live dealer casino. If you lose Sportsbetting.ag will reimburse you up to $25.
Every deposit you make of $25 or more and you’ll be eligible to receive a 25% match bonus. The max bonus you can receive is $1,000. This has a 50x rollover on both the deposit and bonus. You cannot use this bonus for: blackjack, roulette, craps, baccarat and mobile casino games.
Every week SportsBetting.ag will ship you a 10% rebate on your losses from the previous week. For example, lose $200 and you’ll receive a $20 rebate. The maximum rebate you can receive each week is $1,000. The rollover is 50x and doesn’t include bets made on blackjack, baccarat, craps, roulette, live and mobile casino games.
All players who spend more than $75,000 in the casino qualify for their high roller bonus. The bonus ranges from $50 to $1,000, depending on how much you spend (between $75,000 and $1,000,000).
Most of Sportsbetting.ag’s poker promotions revolve around their tournaments and leaderboards. For example:
But they also have a few core offers, which includes:
Get a 100% match bonus on deposits of $50 to $2,500. The bonus is released to you in $5 increments for every 1,500 comp points you earn. You’ll have 60 days to complete the offer, or else what you don’t finish will expire.
For every .10 you pay in (contributed) rake at cash game or in tournament fees, you’ll receive 1 POP Point. You can use POP Points to enter freerolls or other real money tournaments.
If quad jacks or better is beaten, everyone will win a share of the progressive bad beat jackpot. Here’s how the jackpot is paid out:
What I’m not a fan of is the 30% used to reseed the next jackpot. That could be A LOT of money, depending on how long it took between payoffs. I think a much better approach is a flat-rate or percentage with a cap. That would ensure that SportsBetting.ag has money to reseed the next jackpot, but also so that the winners are paid the most money possible. That wraps up all their offers. Now let’s get into their gambling options, starting with their sportsbook.
Sportsbetting.ag is unique in that they break their markets up into two sections – Main Sports and Other Sports. Here’s what you’ll find under each one:
This includes:
This includes:
This list has changed some since the last time I reviewed them. They’ve added pool, softball and esports to the mix.
eSports is an area we’ve been paying attention to. For example, we’ve written a guide to betting on eSports, as well as a guide to choosing the best eSports betting sites.
The reason is simple, really – more and more sportsbooks are adding eSports to their list of markets and betting options. SportsBetting.ag is no different.
However, it looks like SportsBetting.ag is taking their time compared to other US-focused sportsbooks. Like Bovada. For example, Bovada is covering 17 different teams/matches across 5 different leagues/tournaments. And that’s JUST for Counter Strike. They cover 4+ other games, too.
When I checked SportsBetting.ag, they only offered odds on one match. They don’t offer live betting on this match, either (but neither did Bovada).
The good news is that the odds they did offer were slightly better than Bovada’s. I have no way of knowing if that will always be the case. And, it doesn’t really matter if they never bother to expand their eSports section.
But it gives you reason enough to keep your eye on them ‘just in case.’ We’ll update this in the future if and when SportsBetting.ag improves their eSports betting options.
In the meantime, there are plenty of other bets you can make – such as futures and props – on other sports. You can make future and props bets on sports/markets such as:
And so on.
They offer live betting, too.
When I checked their live betting section out they had (lots of) NBA games, college basketball, hockey and tennis. They make it very easy to know what games are coming up, between their list of ‘todays events’ and their event calendar. They also have a tab where you can add and monitor more than one event at a time.
The minimum bet across the board is $1.
Their max limit varies. $500 is common, but I saw limits as high as $5,000 for baseball totals, $10,000 for moneylines and $1,000 for team totals. You can also bet $15,000 on various NFL bets and $25,000 on the Super Bowl spread. It just depends.
Ultimately, their limits are on par with other sportsbooks. Other bettors say their odds (line prices) are, too.
Bets can be made from your computer (Windows, Mac, Linux), your phone or tablet (Android and iOS).
Sportsbetting.ag offers more than 150 casino games and variations, thanks to their partnership with BetSoft.
Note: For the sake of transparency, you should know that many casinos are pulling BetSoft’s games. The reason is because it appears their progressive jackpots can’t be won (due to a programming error, some say). They’ve also denied paying a progressive jackpot winner, saying that the winning spin happened during a bonus round (so it doesn’t account). You can learn more about it . BetSoft has also ignored any inquiries about these issues. So, if you choose to play in their casino, I recommend you don’t play for max coins on the progressive machines since we can’t say you’ll be paid if you hit it.
The following is a list of the games you can play and any thoughts we may have.
What I like about their blackjack selection is how large it is. There are lots of variations to choose from, and not just in terms of graphics or stakes, either.
Not too much to say here. SportsBetting.ag covers the basics for craps and roulette players.
It’s great to see they offer so many different table games. Like the blackjack games, some casinos skimp here and focus on the slots and arcade games instead. So, if you’re a table game player, chances are you’ll be happy here.
On top of the table games listed above, SportsBetting.ag offers a small selection of live dealer games.
It sucks that 2 of the games are variations, and not unique (different) games. But at least they offer them, which isn’t something every US-facing casino can say.
Another thing I like is how they have both women and men dealers. This, too, is something you won’t find at every US-facing casino with live dealer games.
One of the positive things about BetSoft is they’re one of the few software companies I know to make keno variations.
I’ve spent quite a bit of time ‘reviewing’ BetSoft’s 3D slots. And, honestly, these are the most entertaining slots I’ve played outside of a Las Vegas casino. They look and play like a video game – complete with fun intros, bonus rounds and cut scenes.
I highly recommend you play Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde, Madder Scientist and The Slotfather.
There’s not too much to add here. They don’t have the largest selection of regular (video) slots, especially compared to their competitors. But my guess is that’s because they work only with BetSoft, who seems to focus primarily on their 3D games.
I’m not going to complain much about that, because it’s these 3D slots that help them to stand out. But if you want more regular video or classic 3-reel slots, you can always check out Bovada or Ignition Casino.
It’s the same as their blackjack and table game selections – I’m impressed by all the choices you have. They have one of the largest video poker selections available to US players.
Overall, SportsBetting.ag has a solid casino. It’s just unfortunate that BetSoft doesn’t seem to want to do right by their customers – at least as far as progressive jackpots are concerned.
If you do decide to play here, you can go with their download or instant play – which means their casino is compatible with both PC and Macs.
Most of their games are mobile friendly, too, with most games being compatible with Android, iOS, BlackBerry and (some) Windows devices.
The poker room at SportsBetting.ag is probably the weakest product of the 3. Not so much because their sportsbook and casino are THAT good, but because poker rooms need players, and SportsBetting.ag doesn’t have that many.
SportsBetting.ag is on the Chico Poker Network – whom is ranked 3rd in US traffic and 13th overall. At peak times, they’ll see 5,000 players online. These players not only come from their site, but from BetOnline and TigerGaming.com, too. Then their player base is spread out over their cash games, tournaments and free money games.
The bottom line – they have some players, but not enough to where you can log in at any time and find a game.
Note: In the last couple of years that I’ve reviewed them, they’ve always been in the 3rd spot. On one hand, you have to ask, why haven’t they been able to boost their traffic? On the other hand, it’s hard to fault them for staying the same – for being consistent.
Now let’s talk games. The games they offer are:
For cash games, the spread games starting at the micros on up to 5/10. Experts say most games will be below the 1/2 level, though.
Omaha is available up to 1.50/3.00 – which is sort of an odd stake. But that doesn’t matter too much, since there aren’t nearly as many omaha games running. The same goes for stud.
Experienced SportsBetting.ag players say you’ll find more action at the 6-max than full-ring tables, but only by a small margin.
Either way, you’ll find loose, action-oriented games. Flop percentages are in the 25-30% range. Between that and the 20x the big blind average pot size, and anyone with the fundamentals down will have a hard time NOT making some money. Especially when you consider all the crossover traffic that comes from their sportsbook and casino.
Sportsbetting.ag offers tournaments, too.
For example, you can play or participate in the:
One thing I liked seeing are their $1,000 guarantees with a $1 buy-in. This tourney runs daily. They also have a $1,000 GTD for $3 and a $500 GTD for $.50. Between overlays and the soft fields, I’d bet these tourneys are great bankroll builders.
They run freerolls every hour or so, too. These often have real money prize pools. They may only be $100 or so, but these can be another excellent way to build your bankroll.
Experts also say overlays happen often here. That’s when a guarantee isn’t met by the players, so the poker room has to pay the difference. This is great for you because there are fewer players you need to fight through to win, much less cash. It also reduces how long the tournament takes to play.
Overall, a poker player with a strong set of fundamentals can do well here at SportsBetting.ag.
As far as software is concerned – your only option is a download. SportsBetting.ag has a download for both PC and Macs.
Unfortunately, there’s no mobile app or instant play option. However, Sportsbetting.ag upgraded their software in July, 2016. So, we’re holding out hope that a mobile option is next on their to-do list for the near future.
Overall, there’s nothing that stands out, or makes me go WHOA, I like THAT! SportsBetting.ag offers a sportsbook, casino and poker room that more or less covers the basics.
In other words, they’re average across the board.
There’s nothing wrong with that, though. On top of their gambling options, they have several banking options and promotions, too. In short, they’re a decent C+/B- type site – a good option for someone looking for something new or different to try with moderate expectations.
Is that person you?
Only you can decide that.
So I have been playing here for awhile now and if you play somewhere for awhile you have some trust in them. I only deposit/cash out via cryptocurrency with them and its a no brainer once you realize how easy and fast it is. There are no fees while sending them money and the money usually hits your account within 30 minutes. Taking money out is a bit longer but if you take money out via bitcoin its in your coinbase account within 24 hours. I have deposited and withdrawn countless times via this method and I've never had to contact customer service regarding any issue. The site won't wow you but I feel comfortable here so I roll with it. The password/username thing can piss you off though. I mean figure it out. I don't have issues logging in via my phone anymore but its a headache logging in from your computer. It really makes no sense and one can only understand once you experience it. Never take a bonus with them as well. They will basically hold your money hostage for a month which you basically guaranteed to lose. Also they will hold your money for 7 business days if you deposit with a cc. With all that being said use CRYPTO and don't take a bonus and they will pay you out whenever you want.
How is the cashout on this site? I heard there are problems but why is there cashout problems if they are owned by Betonline?
I won $35,000 on a 12 game Football parlay last season to be honest I was expecting the worst when it came to payout , But everything was fine I withdrew and got my mine within 3 business days! I’ve got nothing but good things to say about SB only thing is they need to update their site .. Other than that take my money!
I took my bad beats in stride as with all the other poker sites I have played on. I finally started winning and asked about cash out options. I was told I had to wait a week from my last deposit. I just tried to log in and my account has been suspended. They are stating that charges were returned to credit card, probably on the next billing cycle. I have not disputed any charges and not been contacted by the credit card company asking about fraudulent charges. So they have closed my account completely for no reason. Very odd considering it's after I asked to withdraw funds. A total scam this site appears to be. Will follow up if a resolution happens.
Website is a complete scam. They have no issue taking your money, but become unresponsive when you request a payout. They also fudged with my account dollars and incorrectly posted bets. I documented all of this and asked for someone to talk on the phone with me, but they never responded. Thought it was trustworthy because of reviews on reddit, but it was just launching. Again, great website, but good luck getting your payout. As soon as you take a big lead, they will start posting fake bets.
OK sports site with ok paying times. If they paid quicker I would be here more often but they know their sports and the books are good with all sports represented.Thy have problems with payouts though and they need to sort this. Many stoeies of failed payouts for big money but I have always been paid ok but never cashed out more than $100.
do not use the slots, terrible pay out. scam
this site scammer i play 300 dollar in poker lose forever..lose Whit double AA and KK and JJ...the game is piloted and ultra scammer
I don't trust this site.
This site has been nothing but legit for me. I played heavy poker volume for awhile and was able to withdrawal just fine. I hammered a few preseason futures in the NFL, once again, after the season, I was able to withdrawal hasslefree via bitcoin.
They give me my bet winnings but not what I wagered back. Customer service is horrible, they told me to call back no supervisors keep giving me the run around.. doubt I’ll ever get my true amount. Not happy so far.. never had problems like this with BOVADA.. gamblers beware..
Sportsbetting.ag nothing but a shitty unprofessional dumbass glitchy site. You can't even log in because every time you try to and put in your password it changes your password to a longer password then tells you wrong password. I don't advise anyone to use their site because you won't even be able to login so you signed up for no reason I'm going to bravado or something
They make it almost impossible to get your money out. Bitcoin is really your only free option and at this point they are making excuses for why I can't even do that. Never again - I'll confine my gambling to Vegas. This site is bogus - I doubt I'll ever get my money back.
Its impossible for a bettor in action for a time to win...you charge 6% to deposit 15% to withdraw and 10% big on football... You have to win 75% just to break even...your book is a joke
Thanks for catching that! Should be all set now.
The rollover is not explained very well, i tried to pull out my winnings from boxing and was told i had to reach the rollover of $1050 before i could withdraw anything. After i complained they did a one time zero out of my rollover requirement which helped, but was told that "for identification purposes" i would need to fax them a copy of the front and back of my credit card - very dodgy!
This website is not secure. Got a fraudulent charge one minute after signing up from China.
Just like all the other sites it's rigged. How do you lose to the same player 8 out of ten times on an all in when your ahead at the flop and they hit the nut flush or straight with one card on the river. Every time you lose it's by a straight, flush or full house every time. Hell I lost with the guy hitting quad 8's on the flop.
