The All New 2018 Honda Amaze
The new honda Amaze launched by Honda this year comes with an array of brand new features. The compact sedan has been made available in four variants- E, S, V AND VX and all of them come with dual front airbags, ABS, Isofix child-seat mounts and rear parking sensors. The vehicle, priced between INR 5.6 lakh and INR 9 lakh, has been developed especially for the Indian market at the company’s R&D research centre in Thailand. The new Honda Amaze 2018 sports a brand new design, completely set apart from the previous variants and is said to be inspired from the much bigger Honda City and the Accord.
- A new grille adorns the front end of the car and the headlamps are now rectangular as compared to rounded in the previous models.
- The rear end of the car comes with a new set of C-shaped tail lamps.
- The rear bumper has also been made more sculpted, with a small groove making for the exhaust pipe.
The new Honda Amaze cabin is much more spacious and roomy than the previous models. The wheelbase has been increased resulting in more space in the rear end. A dual board dashboard, with new infotainment system makes the model stand out. It also features a new 3 spoke steering wheel and there’s a charging point inside the car as well. In addition, there is a lot of useful storage space which just shows the efforts the company has put in listening to the needs of the customers.

The new Honda Amaze gets a CVT automatic gearbox, in both the petrol and diesel variants. This would be first for any car in this segment. The CVT gearbox would also come with paddle shifters allowing it to manually shift gears even in automatic mode. As a result, the car will offer a smoother drive as opposed to the traditional Automated Transmission Cars which would show jerking every time the car automatically shifted gears.

The new model has been strengthened and made safer than before with a host of safety features, not available in previous models. Some of them are Anti-Lock Braking System(ABS), dual SRS airbags, Electronic Brakeforce Distribution(EBS) system, high mounted stop lamps etc.
The air conditioner of the new Amaze functions better than the previous models due to larger compressor volumes both in the petrol and diesel models. This has been a thoughtful addition to the vehicle considering how harsh summers can be in India.
