Italian Fine Dining Like Never Before At ITC Maurya

This perfection was demonstrated under the realms of fine dining at Ottimo at West View. Ottimo is a Euro-Italian set up with gastronomic excellence witnessed under the presence of extremely talented chef Vittorio Greco.

Chef Vittorio Greco is a passionate Italian chef who believes in spreading the authentic Italian flavour all across the globe. Chef Vittorio Greco is a restaurateur and a chef and have his own seafood restaurant in Parma with his wife. Chef Vittorio Greco is not just a well versed chef but a successful entrepreneur spreading his culinary skills to Queensland. He is an influential figure in the Italian food association fraternity. Acquiring several awards for his work in fine dining industry.
A warm welcome with a glass of bubbly and generous hospitality by Prashant Gaurav Gupta (F&B Manager of ITC Maurya). Ottimo has the most surreal outdoor sitting with spacious compartmentalising of chairs and tables. The view out top its breathtaking and is a perfect getaway for romantic dinners. The restaurant itself has a open kitchen where chef creates magic on plates.
After serving wine, the table had a display of antipasti and flavourful breads. Followed by the flawless starter Burrata Con Ciliegie Marasche E Mandorle Tostate (Burrata with sour cherries and toasted almonds). Burrata is an Italian semi-soft cheese from Puglia Italy, accompanied with cherries sauce and was melt in your mouth cloud on a plate.
In the meantime one stops to admire the rustic Italian decor and the live music in the background add to your palette. The appropriate lighting with grand cast-iron chandeliers and arched walls is a time shit into the good old days.
Soon after the starters the table was prepared for warm and creamy house soup with a toasted baguette on the side. The texture of the soup was smooth and touched the throat like silk.
A huge recommendation to try their Pancetta Di Maiale Con Vino Nero, Miele Di Fiori E Patate Croccanti (Slow cooked pork belly with red wine, honey and cracking potato)
Bursting with flavours this plate had some elements that I so distinct in taste but works wonders when placed together. Parmigiana Rivisitata Con Olio Al Carbone (Over lapped sheets of aubergine and tomato topped with extra virgin olive oil parmesan mousse, parmesan chips & charcoal olive oil)
Seafood lovers must definitely try Insalta Di Aragosta Con Ananas, Vaniglia E Salsa Avocado (Lobster with vanilla pineapples & avocado coulis) all the colours of spring on your plate.
Sweet relish for all the sweet tooth like myself enjoyed the delicious Crema Al Limone Con Pan Di Spagna Alle Nocciole E Salsa Ai Frutti Rossi (Citrus lemon mousse with hazelnut sponge, berry coulis & basil reduction)
An evening at ITC Mauryan, Ottimo- West View is an experience that mere words won’t do justice. One has to be there to Touch, Taste, See, Smell and Hear what Ottimo has to offer.
