Hyderabad is a city buzzing with innumerable business opportunities and companies, and has been growing as a major information technology hub of India. However, before 2006, there was no place where thousands of delegates could be brought together. Hyderabad International Convention Centre was the answer to this setback and Hyderabad hasn’t looked back since. It is managed by the French firm, AccorHotels, one of the world’s leading hotel operators, and is jointly owned by Emaar Properties PJSC Dubai and Telangana State Industrial Infrastructure Corporation Ltd. AccorHotels understood the essential need of the corporate world and produced a state-of-the-art convention centre facility.
WHAT MAKES HICC DIFFERENT?
HICC with its lush and purposeful architecture has delivered dedicatedly each time. It can house more than 6000 people together concurrently and hold upto 400 tables in a banquet setting. It features an internal hall of 6,480 square metres which quite interestingly, is pillar-less. It can even be partitioned into 6 smaller halls. Talk about smart spacing.
As you enter one of the palatial halls at HICC, multifarious bulbs light it up. With comfortable seating lined up in a fitting manner, standing right in the middle of this grandiose feels like being in a Disney movie.
It does not just have big halls to hold exhibitions and conferences but also caters to small meetings consisting of less delegates. It has 37 breakout rooms to zoom into a larger group for collaboration. It has specialized meeting rooms, speaker preparatory rooms, boardrooms and a VIP lounge as well.
HICC has 32 halls that can hold multiple meetings simultaneously. There is an 18-16 ft. long in-built projection screen in the main hall with the speaker system built into the roof. Who said meetings had to be boring!
Be it infrastructure, design, use of space or technology, Hyderabad International Convention Centre has successfully embarked on a journey of global recognition.
Winning the “Best Standalone Convention Centre” for a record four times nationally and now regionally awarded by Ministry of Tourism, Government of India and Andhra Pradesh, HICC has stood up to its potential. It also holds ISO 14001:2014 certification which accentuates the fact that it meets the requirements for an effective Environmental Management System.
It offers world class amenities with its lustrous marble floor, carpeted meeting rooms, hygienic refreshments, spacious expanse, in-house 5-star banqueting service and a friendly and prompt staff to help carry out the events smoothly. However, it takes more than a year to plan for a huge event at such a large scope, especially when it is an international event. This has hence, added to the employment opportunities at Cyberabad and helped in boosting up the economy.
HICC is also in close proximity with the Novotel Hotel which makes HICC a sought-after place to hold business conferences and conventions at as the housing facility at the luxurious Novotel is nothing short of a wonderful experience.
