Mens Winter Style Guide
Winters are here, and you’ve just unpacked your box of woollens. Trying to keep it warm and stylish at the same time? We tell you the tricks to look your handsomest best this winter! Read these five tips to style winter wear for men.
#1 Go for classic jackets and coats
You might want to invest big in that bling jacket that your favourite actor sported in his movie. But think for a while- classic v/s trendy? You always choose classic. Go for a basic black leather jacket, and you are basically sorted. Denims follow suit. Bombers work well too, so you can opt for any of these. The basic mantra for choosing the right men’s winter jackets is:
fit it, feel it, flaunt it!

#2 Fit it right
Never in your life wear an ill-fitted jacket. It’s not just a turn off, but it makes you uncomfortable yourself. The jacket should be touching your body and not squeezing it. Similarity, it should not be going places far off your body (Loose jackets are a big no-no). So do not go for your friend’s jacket until it fits you perfectly!
#3 Layering is the key
Instead of wearing one big bulky jacket, wear a few layers of clothes. That way you will be warmer while looking sharp and stylish. You can wear three layers- A shirt, Sweater and then a jacket. If you still feel cold, top it up with a stylish overcoat. You can style the look according to your mood and time of the day. Go creative!

#4 Accessorize well
Accessories never fail. Not even the coldest and harshest of weather. Pick some stylish hats (get rid of the monkey cap!), thin socks and rugged gloves. Mufflers give your outfit a classy and finished look. Colour coordination is extremely important here!
#5 Fabric Matters!
No matter how stylish your attire looks, it will be rendered useless if they are not made of the required winter fabrics. Wool obviously tops the list of winter fabrics. But you cannot wear it as the outermost layer of your outfit.
So it is advisable to wear one or two layers of wool in the form of woollen t-shirts or warmers, depending on the kind of level of chill around you! The outermost layer, which is mostly the jacket, can be made of leather, suede or denim. Jeans stay loyal to you, no matter what the season is!
It’s all about how you carry it off. Being comfortable is a prerequisite for being stylish. Have a stylishly chilling winter!
