– What made you decide that you wanna do fashion blogging?
An unhappy monotonous job and a need for a creative vent back in 2011 while being an influencer on the web gave birth to Breviloquent. From being a passion to being a profession that not only gives me creative satisfaction but also inspires people around me keeps me going. There has been no looking back since then.
– How exactly would you define fashion?
Fashion if you ask me, can’t be defined. If what you wear can define your personality and keep you off the herd, that defines your style statement.
For me fashion is both my style statement and my comfort. What I wear speaks for me before I can, thus keeping my actions louder than words has always been my go to spirit.
– Where do you mainly get your fashion inspiration?
I am a literature student and I travel to different places and meet people from different walks of life, that’s where my fashion stories are born. Of late I have been working a lot from Calcutta. The city, its people, culture and heritage has been my major source of inspiration for both my content and the visual treat on the blog.

– Do fashion bloggers get the deserved importance and attention in the fashion industry?
Talking about India, no!
Blogging is still considered to be something that you do as a hobby and not as a profession. Until that happens, the respect won’t come. From brands to people, both the sets need to realize that fashion blogging is not just about looking pretty and getting clicked. The amount of research, time and responsibility that comes along is way more than what it looks.
– Do you think recently fashion bloggers are busy promoting brands rather than genuine style tips?
Firstly, Fashion Blogging isn’t just about tips. It is a balance of visuals and content that back each other. As a personal style blogger, I don’t talk about trends or fast fashion rather create conceptual stories which are both sponsored and personal projects. But yes, with the easy meaning of fashion blogging by every second person it has become about blindly promoting anything and everything without the basic understanding of the what’s and how’s.
– Is fashion blogging just about wearing nice clothing and getting pretty pictures clicked? or is there more to it?
– Tips on the latest summer trend?
The cold shoulder trend has taken over quite clearly. Apart from that, maxi’s, playsuits and summer layering (but not over layering) are few trends that I have been following myself. A basic white tee paired with distressed denims or a pair of shorts will never fail you.
