1. Sainte-Geneviève Library, Paris, France
This beautiful library houses over 2 million documents and was even featured in the famous movie ‘Hugo’. Believe it or not, people actually wait outside to just get a spot to study inside this public library. This library was built between 1843 and 1850.

2. Rijksmuseum Library, Amsterdam, Netherlands
This is the largest public art history research library in the Netherlands and is in fact a part of the Dutch national museum. This insane building was made in 1885.

3. State Library of Victoria, Melbourne, Australia
Established in 1854, this is one of the oldest public libraries in the world and also contains the hand written work of Captain James Cook. The dome shaped reading room was designed to hold over a million books and also has a chess reading room.

4. Stuttgart Municipal Library, Stuttgart, Germany
This public library is a part of the city’s cultural office which was built between 1834-1840 by Giovanni Salucci for the king but in 2011, it was shifted to another location.
5. Morgan Library & Museum, New York
This beautiful structure which is a research library looks like a piece of art. Originally is was supposed to be the private library for J. P Morgan in 1906 and it costed over $1.2 million back then! Later in 1966, it was declared as a national historic landmark. It serves as a major attraction for art and literature fairs and is a book worm’s visual delight.

6. Real Gabinete Library, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
This architectural marvel is probably one of the most gorgeous, breathtaking libraries in the world. The ‘Gothic-Renaissance’ architecture finds inspiration in its Portugese roots and the façade was transported from Lisbon to Rio. The carved wooden shelfs, the vintage style entrance, all of them give this library a look similar to the one in Hogwarts actually.

7. Hendrik Conscience Heritage Library, Antwerp, Belgium
This historical building is named after the famous writer hendrick Conscience whose statue lies here. It dates back to 1481 and consists of more than a million books. It also hosts a lot of guided art tours and literature exhibitions.
